چکیده
Background: Neutrophil percentage to albumin ratio (NPAR) has been shown be correlated with the prognosis of various diseases. This study aimed explore effect NPAR on patients in coronary care units (CCU). Method: All data this were extracted from Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care III (MIMIC-III, version1.4) database. divided into four groups according their quartiles. The primary outcome was in-hospital mortality. Secondary outcomes 30-day mortality, 365-day length CCU stay, hospital acute kidney injury (AKI), and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). A multivariate binary logistic regression analysis performed confirm independent effects NPAR. Cox analyze association between curve line overall trend drawn by local weighted (Lowess). Neutrophil-to-Albumin Ratio as A Novel Predictor of Mortality in Patients with Sepsis
Background and Objective: Sepsis is a syndrome involving physiological, pathological, and biochemical abnormalities caused by infection. Very few studies have been performed to evaluate the prognostic value of the neutrophil-to-albumin ratio. The present study aimed to evaluate the neutrophil-to-albumin ratio in patients with sepsis admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). Materials and Meth...
متن کاملDifficult intubation and outcomes in intubated patients admitted to intensive care unit
Background & Aims: Endotracheal intubation is commonly performed in the intensive care unit. Many international guidelines for difficult intubation management are available and the intensivists think that any endotracheal intubation in ICU is potentially difficult with several complications. Materials & Methods: After obtaining ethical approval, this descriptive and analytical study was cond...
متن کاملPretreatment neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio in peripheral blood was associated with pulmonary tuberculosis retreatment
INTRODUCTION The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) is a readily available biomarker associated with recurrence and survival in various diseases. The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between NLR and pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) retreatment. MATERIAL AND METHODS This was a case-control study that included 306 newly diagnosed cases of PTB in the clinical database of...
متن کاملRelationship between Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte Ratio and the Severity of Coronary Artery Disease in Patients Undergoing Cardiac Catheterization
Introduction: Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) is considered as an independent predictor of long-term prognosis in the individual patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). This study sought to assess the relationship between NLR and CAD severity in Iranian patients undergoing cardiac catheterization.Material and Methods: This prospective study was conducted on 500 patients with acute cor...
متن کاملNeutrophil/Lymphocyte Ratio Is Associated with Non-Calcified Plaque Burden in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease
BACKGROUND Elevations in soluble markers of inflammation and changes in leukocyte subset distribution are frequently reported in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). Lately, the neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio has emerged as a potential marker of both CAD severity and cardiovascular prognosis. OBJECTIVES The aim of the study was to investigate whether neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio and other...
